Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary with a very special exhibition during this year’s Milan Design Week, dedicated to design, colors, personalization and art. During an exclusive event at Segheria in Milan, the Italian super sports car manufacturer unveiled a triple limited edition of 60 units each dedicated to Huracán STO[1], Huracán Tecnica[2] and Huracán EVO Spyder[3].

The exhibition focused on the processes that Centro Stile, Lamborghini’s famed design center, and the Ad Personam department follow to create interior specifications and new colors to offer the broadest palette for the personalization requests of its customers. Next to the three Huracáns, the all-new Lamborghini Revuelto was also presented to the select group of customers and media attending the event.

Super sports cars are all about two things: performance and design, and Milan Design Week is an ideal setting for us to showcase the latter. The Revuelto is the latest addition in a proud heritage of V12-powered automobiles coming out of Sant’Agata Bolognese, with many of them having become icons of automotive history. Alongside our new V12, the special editions of the Huracán not only celebrate the 60th anniversary of our brand, but also give our customers maybe the last chance to purchase an otherwise sold-out V10-powered Lamborghini.

The exclusive event at Segheria in Milan, originally built in 1932 as a sawmill, has been considered an ‘Objet d’Art’ since 2000. Segheria is where avant-garde, conceptual and unprecedented projects – by world-famous architects and designers – have been presented along with international premieres for 23 years, under the creative direction of Tanja Solci. The guests were welcomed guests in two dedicated areas. The indoor space focused on the first European appearance of the new Lamborghini Revuelto three weeks after its world premiere in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The first Lamborghini plug-in hybrid super sports car was flanked by a dedicated Ad Personam corner, referencing the popular customization program for customers of the brand as well as two artworks: a Revuelto[4] sketch by Mitja Borkert, Head of Design of Automobili Lamborghini, and ‘The Minotaur Genesis’, the latest art piece by internationally acclaimed artist Paolo Troilo. The Italian painter commenced this original artwork in front of guests at the Lounge Monterey last year, starting with a blank canvas and painting with his fingertips: a signature technique that has made him unique in the art world.

The outdoor area at Segheria was centered around the 60th anniversary celebration. Photos of iconic Lamborghini super sports cars set the stage for three 60th Anniversary Editions of the Huracán. Each anniversary model in the V10 range is strictly limited to 60 units available in two different liveries that enhance both the spirit and the unique lines characterizing Huracán STO, Huracán Tecnica and Huracán EVO Spyder. To further highlight the uniqueness of these special series, each car is embellished with a “1 of 60” carbon fiber plate and the logo “60th” painted on the doors and embroidered on the seats.

The special editions, comprised of the three models in six different liveries, demonstrates Lamborghini commitment to fresh, on-trend Lamborghini colorways, with the process of creating new colors explained during the presentation.

Milan is one of the design capitals in the world, while Sant’Agata Bolognese is the epicenter of car design. Ever since the launch of icons such as the Lamborghini Miura or Countach, colors have been a major asset of our brand. Together with our colleagues of Ad Personam we often create new colors for our customers, further enhancing the already-extensive palette. Colors can change the attitude of a super sports car, making it look even sportier or more elegant. Ultimately, the colors our customers choose for their configurations, more often than not are an expression of their personality.

— Mitja Borkert, Head of Design of Automobili Lamborghini

The 60th Anniversary Edition of the Huracán STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) is offered in two versions that found their inspiration in fashion and elegance, showcasing the sophisticated side of this otherwise track-focused super sports car. Featuring shades of matt blue with the bodywork in Blu Aegeus, elements are embellished in Blu Astraeus that can be combined with exposed carbon fiber elements with a Blu Mira finish.

The interior features a combination of Alcantara in Nero Cosmus (black) and Grigio Octans (gray), details in Nero Ade and contrasting embroidery in Blu Amon (blue). The second livery presents bodywork in Grigio Telesto (gray) and Nero Noctis (black) combined with exposed carbon fiber, while the interior in Nero Cosmus and Grigio Octans Alcantara features stitching and leather details in Rosso Alala (red) leather. Both versions have the 60th anniversary logo embroidered on the seat and are equipped with 20” forged aluminum Hek rims with a matte black finish.

The Huracán Tecnica is the most versatile variant in Lamborghini’s V10 range, building the bridge between lifestyle and performance, perfectly at ease in the city as well as on a circuit. The 60 units of the Anniversary Edition focus on the latter, drawing their inspiration from motorsport. The first of the two available configurations, displayed at the event, features bodywork in Bianco Asopo (white) bodywork enhanced by lines in Verde Viper (green), a color repeated in the Nero Ade Alcantara interiors. The second version is a polar opposite, with Grigio Telesto (gray) featuring details in Nero Noctis (black) and Rosso Mars (red), a contrast that is echoed in the interior with Nero Ade Alcantara (black) and details in Rosso Alala (red). Both special versions are equipped with 20” Damiso shiny black rims.

The EVO Spyder is the most lifestyle-focused version of the Huracán range, capable of combining best-in-class performance with a refined character and open-air architecture. The edition dedicated to the 60th anniversary has a distinctively youthful character, lively and contemporary. The version shown at Segheria features bodywork in Verde Viper combined with Bianco Isi, while the interior is upholstered with Nero Ade Alcantara combined with Rosso Alala and Bianco Leda. The alternative version showcases bodywork in Blu Le Mans with contrasting Bianco Isi (white) details. The same color scheme is used for the interior in Nero Ade Alcantara, embellished with embroidery in Blu Amon (blue) and piping in Bianco Leda (white). Both special versions are equipped with 20” Damiso shiny black rims.

The event during Milan Design Week is part of the Lamborghini brand’s slate of international 60th anniversary celebrations, which began in January with the inauguration of the newly renovated Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese and the exhibition “The Future Began In 1963”.
